Routine and familiarity help us feel safe and secure
It has been one week of self imposed lock down. Abby, my 8-year-old daughter, and I spend every single moment together. It is amazing watching Abby keeping herself busy at our “Home Playschool” with her soft toys. Abby and her toys are having so much fun learning the timestable (which was a drill), hosting spelling bee competitions, writing stories, and making messes (they call it arts and crafts)! I guess the idea of “Home Playschool” gives her a routine and something familiar, safe and secure to hold on to when her world was flipped upside down a week ago.
